PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specifically detect, separate or kill a cancer cell. As a technique for specifically detecting cancer cells, a procedure for contacting a test sample with BC2LCN lectin and the presence or absence of a sugar chain having BC2LCN lectin-binding activity in the test sample. Alternatively, by utilizing the method for detecting cancer cells in which the test sample is a body fluid sample of the test individual and the ability of BC2LCN lectin to transfer into cancer cells, including the procedure for measuring the abundance. Since toxins can be taken up into lectin cells, it provides a powerful anticancer drug capable of killing cancer cells. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
