abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which suppresses a reduction in display brightness and double reflection without depending on an angle between an absorption axis of a polarizer and a slow axis of a molded body of a plastic resin. The display device includes a display device and a polarizing plate disposed between the display device and the projection unit, and the polarizing plate includes a polarizer and a first support for supporting the polarizer. At least one of the first support plate 30 and the second support plate 38 is provided, and the phase difference between the first support plate 30 and the second support plate 38 is the wavelength n times the light output from the display 12 (n is an integer).
