A method for treating diseases and pathological conditions using an anti-VEGF antibody. A method of treating a human subject susceptible to or diagnosed with breast cancer using an anti-VEGF antibody, preferably in combination with one or more additional anti-tumor therapeutic agents. Examples of chemotherapeutic agents include capecitabine, taxane, anthracycline, paclitaxel, docetaxel, paclitaxel protein-bound particles, doxorubicin, epirubicin, 5-fluorouracil, cyclophosphamide, or a combination thereof.
