abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cancer metastasis inhibitor based on a new mechanism and a selection method of a cancer metastasis inhibitor candidate substance. A cancer metastasis inhibitor is provided which contains an inhibitor of an enzyme that phosphorylates serine at the 322nd position from the N-terminal of Trop-2 as an active ingredient. The inhibitor is preferably an inhibitor of protein kinase Cα and protein kinase Cδ. Selection of a candidate substance for a cancer metastasis inhibitor, which is characterized by selecting a substance having a cancer metastasis inhibitory action from a test substance using an action of inhibiting phosphorylation of serine at the 322nd position from the N-terminal of Trop-2 as an index A method is also provided.
