PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine or the like capable of preventing or treating visceral discomfort. The present invention provides a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for visceral discomfort, a pharmaceutical composition, a medical device, a food or a beverage containing silicon fine particles. Oral administration of fine silicon particles or indwelling on the skin or mucous membrane can prevent or treat visceral discomfort, and its preventive and/or therapeutic effect is excellent. Visceral discomfort includes visceral pain, vomiting, nausea, wheezing, and diarrhea.
