abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic cooling composition capable of imparting a sufficient cooling feeling even when wearing a soft contact lens. SOLUTION: Among the cooling agents, a compound selected from menthol, camphor or borneol is used alone or in combination, and the total amount thereof is limited to a limited range of 0.01 w/v% or more and less than 0.1 w/v%. For ophthalmic use to give a refreshing sensation when wearing soft contact lenses by containing inorganic salts as essential constituents in addition to containing a specific polymer having a specific molecular weight.
