PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of achieving both high elastic modulus and good hysteresis loss. A rubber composition includes a phenol resin having an unsaturated bond and a tetrazine compound represented by the general formula (1) or a salt thereof.
