abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a change in speed to a driver when an abrupt decrease in the speed of the vehicle occurs when an abnormality occurs in the ECU and the clutch is engaged while the vehicle is traveling only by an electric motor. It is easy to feel the accompanying shock. A hybrid system (10) includes a first clutch (22) that switches transmission and non-transmission of rotational torque between an internal combustion engine (20) and a motor generator (40), and a drive shaft (41) and a drive wheel (50) of the motor generator (40). An intervening torque converter 31 is provided. The torque converter 31 includes a lockup clutch 31b that switches an input shaft 31a and an output shaft 31c of the torque converter 31 between a direct connection state and a non-direct connection state. When an abnormality occurs in the engine ECU 210 that controls the first clutch 22 while the hybrid system 10 is driven only by the motor generator 40, the lockup clutch 31b is brought into a non-direct connection state.
