PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food product capable of incorporating a larger amount of nutrients, for example, micronutrients and producing a health effect in the body. An edible product comprising xylose (eg, D-xylose or L-xylose) and another sweetener, such as glucose. Products include confectionery, beverages, human foods, animal foods, chewing gums, dentifrices, mouthwashes, candy bars, sports bars, energy bars and the like.
