PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fluoroethane and a method for producing fluoroolefin having a high selectivity of fluoroethane which is a target product. The method includes a step of obtaining a product containing fluoroethane from fluoroethylene by a reaction in the presence of a catalyst. The reaction is carried out in two or more reaction zones, each reaction zone is provided with the catalyst, and the fluoroethylene is supplied to each reaction zone to carry out the reaction.
