abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a sterilization method of a used sanitary article, which can surely sterilize spore bacteria as bacteria attached to the used hygiene article. SOLUTION: In the method for treating a used sanitary article of the present invention, the treatment liquid has a predetermined amount of a calcium compound and a predetermined amount of residual residual chlorine with respect to the amount of the used hygiene article 2 put in a separation tank 7. It was composed of hypochlorous acid added so as to have a concentration higher than the concentration, and a predetermined amount of boiling water heated to a predetermined temperature with respect to the amount of used sanitary ware put into the separation tank 7, and decomposed.
