PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a site-specific conjugate. The present invention relates to an antibody conjugate containing a GlcNAc-S(A) x substituent. GlcNAc is N-acetylglucosamine, S(A) x is a sugar derivative containing x functional groups A, A is selected from the group consisting of azido, keto and alkynyl groups, and x is 1 2, 3 or 4 and the GlcNAc-S(A)x substituent is attached to the antibody via the C1 of its N-acetylglucosamine, which N-acetylglucosamine may be fucosylated. Further, it relates to a method for preparing a modified antibody, a method for preparing an antibody conjugate, and the above antibody conjugate for use as a medicine. Furthermore, with respect to a kit of parts comprising an azido modified antibody and a linker conjugate, said linker conjugate comprises a (hetero)cycloalkynyl group and one or more molecules of interest.
