titleOfInvention Battery pack
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of appropriately suppressing an unnecessary electrochemical reaction occurring inside a battery case. A battery pack includes a battery cell (unit cell) 2, an outer casing 4, and a reaction suppressing liquid 6. The outer casing 4 has a bottomed shape and accommodates the battery cells 2. The reaction suppressing liquid 6 is filled inside the exterior body 4. The reaction suppressing liquid 6 flows into the battery cells 2 to suppress the electrochemical reaction of the battery cells 2. The battery cell 2 includes a battery case and a valve portion 35. The battery case houses the electrode body and the electrolytic solution in a sealed state. The valve portion 35 is provided in the battery case at a position lower than the liquid level of the reaction suppressing liquid 6 with which the outer casing 4 is filled, and is opened when the pressure in the battery case rises above a reference level.
