abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomarker for a tissue fibrosis disease and a method for using the biomarker. A method for examining a tissue fibrotic disease, which comprises a step of detecting at least one protein selected from a protein group (A) in an extracellular vesicle of a body fluid collected from a subject. A method for examining a tissue fibrotic disease, which comprises the step of determining that the subject suffers from a tissue fibrotic disease when the amount or concentration of the detected protein is not less than the cutoff value. A tissue fibrosis disease, in which the cutoff value is 2.5 to 3.5 times the value of the amount or concentration of the corresponding protein in extracellular vesicles of body fluid collected from a subject not suffering from tissue fibrosis disease.
