PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel single-stranded RNAi molecule. A single-stranded RNA molecule that mediates RNA interference to a target RNA, wherein the single-stranded RNA is: (a) a first nucleotide portion (N1) and a second nucleotide portion (N1) that are not self-complementary. N2) comprising a nucleic acid moiety (wherein the nucleic acid moiety comprises at least 8 nucleotides capable of base pairing with the target site of the target RNA, the total number of nucleotides in the nucleic acid moiety being 8 to 26 nucleotides). And (i) an internal spacer portion (wherein the spacer portion comprises at least a first non-nucleotide spacer portion (S1) that covalently links the first nucleotide portion and the second nucleotide portion).
