abstract | A method for measuring additive turnover in a solution, such as an electrodeposition solution, is provided. Methods for measuring the age or longevity of solutions such as electrodeposition solutions are also provided. The method comprises the step of providing a solution containing an organic additive and a plurality of decomposition products of the organic additive, the plurality of decomposition products comprising at least one active ingredient and at least one insoluble matter. The method may include the step of including an active ingredient, and measuring the concentration of at least one inactive ingredient in the solution.
