titleOfInvention Patient interface
abstract A sub-nasal interface assembly having improved comfort and / or tightness. An interface for positive pressure breathing therapy includes a mask assembly having a mask seal and a mask shell. The mask assembly is positioned lower than the user's bridge of the nose to expose it. The mask seal includes first and second portions that contact opposite sides of the user's nose on respective first and second sides of the nose region. The first and second portions each include a support that helps maintain the shape of the mask seal. A pair of covers may be supported for the mask assembly and adjacent each one of the first and second portions of the mask seal. The cover limits expansion of the first and second portions of the mask seal in response to pressurized air within the mask seal. The first and second portion supports may transfer loads from the mask seal to the cover. [Selection diagram] Figure 1
