abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a compound having a perfluoroalkyl group having 4 or less carbon atoms and having excellent surface tension lowering ability, and a nonionic fluorine-containing surfactant. The present invention has a perfluoroether group and a polyoxyethylene group bonded to the perfluoroether group via a linking group, wherein the perfluoroether group has a carbon number within a range of 1 to 4. A straight-chain or branched-chain perfluoroalkyl group, and a straight-chain or branched-chain perfluoroalkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms bonded to the perfluoroalkyl group via oxygen. The peroxyether-containing compound, wherein the polyoxyethylene group has a repeating unit number in the range of 7 to 22. [Selection diagram] None
