An anti-CD38 antibody-attenuated interferon alpha-2b fusion construct is used to inhibit proliferation in cancerous cells expressing both CD38 and a receptor for IFN-alpha2b, such cells Can induce apoptosis in Inhibition of growth in cancer cells and induction of apoptosis can serve as a basis for treatment of the underlying cancer.
