A novel flavor improving agent is provided. A flavor containing, as an active ingredient, one or more selected from the group consisting of 3-methyl-2-furanacetic acid, 4-methyl-2-furanacetic acid, and 5-methyl-2-furanacetic acid. A perfume composition containing a total concentration of 0.01 ppb to 200 ppm, a food or drink having the same concentration of 0.01 ppb to 200 ppb, and a fragrance or cosmetic product having the same concentration of 0.01 ppb to 20 ppm are provided.
