An object of the present invention is to provide a coating composition having heat resistance and capable of suppressing cracks. A (A) metal oxide having a number average particle diameter of 1 nm to 400 nm, and (B) an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles, wherein the component (B) comprises (b1) a hydrolyzable silicon compound, (B2) A polymer particle aqueous dispersion containing a polymer particle comprising a vinyl monomer and (b3) an emulsifier, and (b4) water, wherein (b1) is (b1-1). (B1-2) a hydrolyzable silicon compound having a straight-chain alkyl group having 3 to 16 carbon atoms and a hydrolyzable silicon compound having a methyl group, and (b1-1) and (b1-2).
