A flavor delivery system for smoking articles having improved taste uniformity and storage stability of flavors added to the tobacco substrate is provided. A flavor delivery system for tobacco includes a flavor material mixed into a zeolite material to form a core, and a brazing material encapsulating the core. Preferably, the wax material has a melting point of about 100 degrees Celsius or higher, and the flavor material can be a hydrophobic liquid. The zeolitic material can be a hydrophobic liquid, and the tobacco is preferably homogenized tobacco or cast leaf tobacco. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
