abstract | A pressure-sensitive adhesive that does not precipitate in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer even when used in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment and can be applied to various applications, particularly a pressure-sensitive adhesive suitable for polarizing plates. A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising an acrylic resin (A) and a carbodiimide compound (B), wherein the acrylic resin (A) is contained in all polymerized components. A carbodiimide compound (B) having a content of more than 1 part by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the acrylic resin (A) and an acrylic resin A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition characterized in that the amount of carboxyl groups (X mmol) in the resin (A) and the amount of carbodiimide groups (Y mmol) in the carbodiimide compound (B) satisfy the following formula (I).
