titleOfInvention | Apparatus and method for measuring oxidizing ability of particulate matter existing in air |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a measuring device and a measuring method capable of quickly estimating the oxidizing ability of particulate matter. According to the present disclosure, there is provided an apparatus (10) for measuring the oxidizing ability of particulate matter present in the atmosphere, wherein a collecting means (11) for collecting the particulate matter and a collected particulate matter are extracted. A reaction chamber 13 for holding the extract, an absorbance measuring means 15 for measuring the absorbance of the extract obtained by extracting the particulate matter in the reaction chamber, and a predetermined molar amount of the oxidizable substance added to the extract in the reaction chamber. Oxidation reaction is caused by the substance, and the absorbance at a specific wavelength corresponding to the concentration of the substance to be oxidized or the concentration of the substance generated by the oxidation reaction is measured at predetermined time intervals by the absorbance measuring means, and the oxidation is performed according to the amount of change. It is provided with a judgment means 18 for judging the end point of the reaction and an estimating means 19 for estimating the oxidizing ability of the particulate matter based on the absorbance at the end point. |
