abstract An object of the present invention is to improve the durability of a waterproof material by improving acid resistance (also referred to as acid rain resistance) and weather resistance, etc., and to provide a waterproof roof having a long service life without requiring long-term maintenance. Provided are a coating method and a top coat for use in the method. The present invention provides a top coat containing an acrylic synthetic resin, a color pigment, silica sand, a vacuum balloon, a coating additive and water to form a coating, and curing the coating at room temperature. Is repeated at least twice or more. The vacuum balloon is preferably a ceramic vacuum balloon, and the coloring pigment is preferably titanium oxide, iron oxide, chromium oxide, or the like.
