abstract |
An ultrasonic wave that can perform polarization processing of an ultrasonic vibrator using an existing transmission circuit without affecting the image quality of an ultrasonic image and without significantly changing a circuit configuration. A diagnostic device and a method of operating an ultrasonic diagnostic device are provided. A control circuit of an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus having an ultrasonic endoscope includes a plurality of ultrasonic transducers that generate ultrasonic waves for acquiring an ultrasonic image when acquiring an ultrasonic image. When performing a polarization process by controlling the transmission circuit to generate a transmission signal composed of a diagnostic drive pulse to be applied to each of the plurality of ultrasonic transducers, the same as the diagnostic drive pulse for performing a polarization process of a plurality of ultrasonic transducers. The transmission circuit is controlled so as to generate a polarization drive pulse having a different frequency from the probe frequency band for acquiring an ultrasonic image, which is a different polarization drive voltage within a settable voltage range.
