The present invention comprises at least 4 carbon atoms in the presence of a catalyst material comprising at least one crystalline metallosilicate in an acidic state, preferably a macroporous zeolite, more preferably a zeolite having a FAU, BEA or MTW structure. The present invention relates to a process for the production of dienes, preferably conjugated dienes, more preferably 1,3-butadiene, which comprises dehydration of one alkenol. Preferably, alkenols having 4 or more carbon atoms can be obtained directly through a biosynthetic process or through a catalytic dehydration process of at least one diol. When the alkenol is butenol, the diol is preferably butanediol, more preferably 1,3-butanediol, even more preferably bio-1,3-butanediol, i.e. 1, 1, derived from a biosynthetic process. 3-butanediol. When the alkenol is 1,3-butanediol or bio-1,3-butanediol, the diene obtained by the process according to the invention is 1,3-butadiene or bio-1,3-butadiene, respectively. . |
