abstract | Disclosed is a composition comprising a polyester macromer containing one or more diols and one or more chains of residues of one or more diesters, wherein the one or more diols and the one or more diesters are disclosed. Of the diester are alternated along the chain, a portion of the diester is a 1,1-diester-1-alkene and optionally one or more dihydrocarbyl dicarboxylates, at least one terminus is , 1-diester-1 alkene, wherein one or more termini may contain one or more diol residues. Randomly as desired, optionally, of the one or more diesters, wherein the chain comprises the one or more diols, and one or more diester 1,1-diester-1 alkenes and one or more dihydrocarbyl dicarboxylates. It may contain residues arranged along the chain. Disclosed are methods for preparing the polyester macromers and mixing them into various polyester-containing compositions (eg, coatings and films). |
