Provided is a method of bioprinting a bioink construct on internal tissue or cartilage defects during minimally invasive surgery in an individual in need, the method comprising: visualizing the defect; Placing the bioprinter including the print head on; and ejecting the bioink from the print head over the defect to form a bioink layer, thereby producing a bioink construction.
