An apparatus for forming an infusion catheter for treating at least part or all of an obstruction in a passageway, such as a body passageway. The present invention relates to an infusion catheter device. The catheter device 10 has an elongated substantially tubular shape defining a longitudinal axis, a distal end (D), and a proximal end (P), and has an inner wall (54) and an outer wall (56) It is adapted to be introduced into a conduit (50) containing at least part or all of the inhibition (60) or occlusion of interest. The device comprises at the distal end (D) one or more infusion orifices (16, 18, 20, 22) for the infusion fluid (LI) and an infusion catheter (10) upstream of the one or more infusion orifices. The proximal side (P) comprises at least one occlusion element (70) for temporary occlusion. An occlusion element (70) is adapted to treat the inhibition (60) or occlusion and to inject infusate (LI) downstream of the occlusion element (70) and at the occlusion site. This device is particularly suitable for cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology. [Selected figure] Figure 2 |
