Respiratory management device |
abstract |
Respiratory management devices that can perform multiple therapies related to secretion management and multiple respiratory support therapies are described herein. The respiratory management device includes an electromechanical air router assembly (EARA) and an interfacing assembly. The EARA includes independent first and second pressure sources that support the inspiratory / inspiratory process and the expiratory / exhaust process. The interfacing assembly includes a patient interface port and a patient interface tube. The interfacing assembly forms two air-separated paths. The respiratory management device is configured to alternately generate positive and negative pressure at the patient interface port to support the inspiratory / inspiratory process and the expiratory / exhaust process, respectively. Supports inspiration / intake and exhalation / exhaust processes independently through separate conduits / passages to reduce contamination and infections. Further, the respiratory management device includes a garment that vibrates by alternately generating positive pressure and negative pressure to provide treatment to the patient.
