TIMP encapsulating cedar pollen epitope (tissue metalloprotease inhibitor) |
abstract |
[PROBLEMS] To develop cedar pollinosis in a subject suffering from cedar pollinosis, considering the considerable prevalence of this disease, particularly in Japan and neighboring countries, and the possibility of antibody cross-reactivity between coniferous pollen. There is a need in the art for safe and effective means to induce tolerance to cedar pollen antigens (eg, CRYJ1 and CRYJ2) in subjects at risk. The present invention provides a composition comprising particles having a negative zeta potential that encapsulates one or more epitopes associated with cedar pollen. Also provided is a method of inducing immunological tolerance to cedar pollen by administering the particles. [Selection] Figure 1 |
