abstract A pneumatic tire capable of reducing weight while ensuring in-plane shear stiffness and tire circumferential stiffness of a belt. A pneumatic tire includes a tread (50) disposed radially outward of a tire case (34), a first reinforcing cord (42), and a first reinforcing cord disposed radially inward of the first reinforcing cord (42). A second reinforcing cord 44 having an outer diameter smaller than 42 and a resin 46 covering these cords 42 and 44 and having a tensile modulus of elasticity greater than the rubber material forming the tire case 34 and the tread 50 are included. The formed resin-coated cord 48 is spirally wound along the outer peripheral surface of the tire case 34 on the outer side in the tire radial direction of the tire case 34, and the tires of the resin-coated cord 48 adjacent to each other in the wound state.
