abstract | Provided are a metal fatigue resistance imparting agent and a method for imparting metal fatigue resistance, which can impart fatigue resistance to a metal material easily and safely at a low cost. The metal fatigue resistance imparting agent according to the present invention is selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid or a salt thereof (component a) and a compound containing an oxoanion of a Group 6 element, a tin compound, a manganese compound and a calcium compound. And at least one compound (component b) and an alkali agent (component c). Furthermore, the method for imparting metal fatigue resistance of the present invention causes the metal fatigue resistance imparting agent to exist in an aqueous system in contact with a metal product.
