abstract | The present invention provides a rubber composition having good dispersibility of silica and low fuel consumption performance, and a pneumatic tire using the same. A rubber component containing 30% by mass or more of a styrene butadiene rubber having a SiOR group (R is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group) and 100 parts by mass of a rubber component having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 210 m 2 / g or more. Selected from the group consisting of 50 parts by mass or more of carbon black, 2 parts by mass or more of carbon black with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and polyoxyalkylene alkenyl ether sulfate ester salt and polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate ester salt.
