titleOfInvention Honeycomb structure for catalyst support
abstract The present invention provides a catalyst supporting honeycomb structure in which a connecting portion where a plurality of partition walls intersect each other has a large thickness, and a catalyst is easily supported on the connecting portion of partition walls. A plurality of first cells extending in a height direction from a first bottom surface to a second bottom surface, the first bottom surface being open and the second bottom surface being plugged, and a height from the first bottom surface to the second bottom surface. A plurality of second cells extending in the vertical direction and having a first bottom surface plugged and a second bottom surface opened, and the first cell and the second cell are disposed adjacent to each other with a partition wall interposed therebetween. When the partition wall is divided into a central part and a connecting part, the partition wall thickness in the connecting part is larger than the partition wall thickness in the central part, and the initial water absorption rate per unit cross-sectional area in the central part is connected. A honeycomb structure for supporting a catalyst that is smaller than the initial water absorption rate per unit cross-sectional area in the section. The central portion of the partition wall refers to a partition wall portion that is sandwiched between two adjacent cells and extends linearly in a direction perpendicular to the partition wall thickness direction.
