titleOfInvention Fuel cell electrode catalyst
abstract A novel fuel cell electrode catalyst containing fine platinum bronze is provided. A fuel cell electrode catalyst includes platinum bronze containing a metal element M. Metal elements M are Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Y, Zr. Nb, Mo, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In, Sn, Sb, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Os, Ir, Au, Tl, Pd, Bi, and / or a lanthanoid. A part of the surface of platinum bronze is made of a metal platinum layer. Furthermore, platinum bronze has a specific surface area of 20 m 2 / g or more. Such platinum bronze can be obtained by synthesizing platinum bronze in the mesopores of mesoporous silica and removing the mesoporous silica. [Selection] Figure 5
