abstract Provided is a laminate used for a negative electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery having a high capacity and excellent safety, economic efficiency, and cycle characteristics. A laminate includes a conductive base material and a composite layer provided on the conductive base material. The composite layer includes a plurality of silicon oxide particles and a conductive substance that exists in a gap between the plurality of silicon oxide particles. The average particle diameter of the silicon oxide particles is 1.0 μm or less. The laminate further includes a conductive layer provided on the composite layer and containing a conductive substance.
