Polymer composite with electromagnetic interference mitigation properties |
abstract |
A polymer composite suitable for use as an electromagnetic interference reducing material. A lossy polymer matrix, ceramic particles dispersed in the polymer matrix, and conductive particles dispersed in the polymer matrix are included. The lossy polymer matrix may be a fluorocarbon polymer matrix or an epoxy polymer matrix. The ceramic particles may be metal oxide particles, in particular copper oxide (CuO) particles. The conductive particles may be carbon black. Other electromagnetic interference mitigating polymer matrices include a lossy polymer matrix and copper oxide (CuO) particles dispersed within the polymer matrix. [Selection] Figure 6 |
