titleOfInvention Prosthetic heart valve device, prosthetic mitral valve, and related systems and methods
abstract An artificial heart valve device, an artificial mitral valve, and related systems and methods are provided. Percutaneous approaches using catheters delivered intravascularly through veins or arteries into the heart and transapical, transatrial, and direct aortic delivery of the prosthetic replacement valve 130 to a target location within the heart. Other minimally invasive approaches including securing the prosthesis to the natural valve location by engagement of the annulus and / or the leaflet sub-annular surface. Combined with many known surgeries and procedures, such as known methods of accessing heart valves (eg, mitral or tricuspid valves) with antegrade or retrograde approaches and combinations thereof.
