abstract Provided is a motor control device of a plurality of systems that prevents occurrence of overcurrent and torque shock when switching between control modes of sinusoidal PWM control and overmodulation control. A sine wave PWM control unit executes “sine wave PWM control” for generating an output voltage command to an inverter by current feedback control in a region where the modulation factor is relatively low. The overmodulation control unit generates an output voltage command to the inverter by controlling the phase of the voltage vector or both the amplitude and the phase by feedback control of current or torque in a region where the modulation rate is relatively high. "Control" is executed. The control mode selection unit can switch between sinusoidal PWM control and overmodulation control for the control mode of each system. When both systems are operating with sine wave PWM control, the control mode selection unit sets the control mode for both systems to a sine wave when the modulation rate of either system becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined ascending switching threshold Mth_up.
