abstract An object of the present invention is to form a pattern having electrical characteristics with high accuracy. A recording material 1 as a substrate for an electronic device includes a fine particle permeation layer 1600 and a solvent absorption layer 1601. The fine particle permeation layer 1600 has a conductive fine particle 2000 for forming a pattern, a solvent 1607, and a void through which the ink 1003 containing the same can permeate. The solvent absorption layer 1601 is located on the side of the fine particle permeation layer 1600 opposite to the side on which the pattern is formed, and has a void through which the solvent 1607 can permeate. The average void diameter of the solvent absorbing layer 1601 is smaller than the average particle diameter of the conductive fine particles 2000. [Selected figure] Figure 11
