abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a living tissue coating material comprising an ultrathin film which can be produced by a simple method, and a living tissue coated therewith. A material for covering a living tissue consisting of an ultrathin film containing a water repellent resin having a refractive index of 1.32 or more and 1.36 or less has been found to prevent drying of the living tissue and blurring during observation. Further, since the water repellent resin is a resin having substantially the same refractive index as water, it has become possible to observe with high precision and high resolution up to the deep part of a living tissue in microscopic observation.
