abstract | To improve estimation accuracy of SOC. An ECU (100) estimates SOC from OCV by referring to a charge OCV when the magnitude of a charge amount ΔAh1 charged to a battery pack 10 from switching from discharge to charge is greater than or equal to a reference charge amount X1. Do. The ECU 100 estimates the SOC from the OCV by referring to the discharge OCV when the magnitude of the discharge amount ΔAh2 discharged from the assembled battery 10 after switching from charge to discharge is equal to or greater than the reference discharge amount X2. When the amount of electricity ΔAh is less than the reference charge amount X1 or when the amount of electricity ΔAh is larger than the reference discharge amount −X2, SOC-OCV characteristics in the region D surrounded by the charge OCV and the discharge OCV are calculated.
