The present invention provides a method for disrupting bacterial biofilms present on a surface. A method for disintegrating bacterial biofilm present on a surface, preferably skin, more preferably wound, comprising 0.0001 to 1% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 1% by weight. Applying a composition containing 25% seaprose to the bacterial biofilm, wherein the application of the composition to the bacterial biofilm is a bacterial biofilm, preferably a gram-positive bacterial biofilm, and is belonging to the genus Staphylococcus A method of disrupting the matrix of bacteria and biofilms of S. aureus, in particular methicillin resistant S. aureus (MRSA).
