abstract | A gas phase corrosion inhibitor for protecting general practical metals such as iron, chromium, nickel, aluminum, copper and their alloys and galvanized steel against atmospheric corrosion in a package or enclosed space. And its use as well as its method of manufacture. A gas phase corrosion inhibitor composition contains at least the following components. (1) substituted 1,4-benzoquinones, (2) aromatic or alicyclic substituted carbamates, (3) polysubstituted phenols and (4) monosubstituted pyrimidines. Preferably, each of these corrosion inhibitor formulations is 1 to 30 wt% of component (1), 5 to 40 wt% of component (2), 2 to 20 wt% of the total of the material formulation. It contains component (3) and 0.5 to 10% by weight of component (4). These components can be mixed and dispersed in water or premixed with solubilizers compatible with mineral and synthetic oils, preferably arylalkyl ether alcohols such as phenoxyethanol. 【Selection chart】 None |
