abstract | The present invention provides a cement strength improver and a cement additive capable of significantly improving the strength of a cured product of a cement composition over a long period of time. Also provided is a cement composition comprising such a cement strength improver. A cement strength improver according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a polysaccharide having a gel-forming ability in alkaline water. The additive for cement in one embodiment of the present invention has the above-described cement strength improver and at least one selected from the group consisting of the following components A, B, and C. Component A: A compound having a structure in which 5 moles or more of alkylene oxide is added to 1 mole of alcohol. Component B: an alkanolamine compound.
