| abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of associating a device name of a communication device with an IP address and appropriately registering it in a first server. A communication apparatus transmits a first inquiry request including information on at least one of a target device name of the communication apparatus and a first IP address of the communication apparatus to a first server. The communication device transmits, from the first server, at least the other information of the target device name and the first IP address in response to the transmission of the first inquiry request to the first server. When not receiving the inquiry response of (1), a predetermined request for associating the target device name with the second IP address of the communication apparatus and registering it in the first server is sent to the predetermined server.
