abstract |
A method for producing calcium carbonate capable of improving the precipitation efficiency of calcium carbonate while suppressing power consumption is provided. SOLUTION: A quick lime is added to a neutral amino acid-containing aqueous solution containing neutral amino acids to elute calcium ions, and carbon dioxide gas is introduced into the neutral amino acid-containing aqueous solution from which calcium ions are eluted in the elution step. A precipitation step of precipitating calcium carbonate, and in the precipitation step, introduction of carbon dioxide gas is stopped when the pH of the neutral amino acid-containing aqueous solution becomes 7.5 or more and less than 9.0.
