The present invention provides a lithium air secondary battery that can realize a practical discharge capacity using an inexpensive carbon material. A lithium having a positive electrode (air electrode 101) using oxygen in air as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode 102 using metal lithium or a lithium-containing material as a negative electrode active material, and an organic electrolytic solution 103 containing a lithium salt. In the air secondary battery 100, the positive electrode 101 includes a foam metal sheet filled with carbon and a binder, and the foam metal sheet is a stack of a plurality of foam metal sheets to form an air electrode 101.
